Continuing from yesterday's post, here is a shot from the beach in Atlantic City. I'm finding that lately I'm drawn towards more repition and patterns. Also, I've had some good advice about processing in my head from my good friend Chris Rioux. He was telling me to relate processing to the same idea as a sculpter, start with a big chunk of clay and carve it out. In recent months and years I've been doing just the opposite. I've been trying to bring every detail of the frame forward, in the past it was crazy HDR. I feel I've calmed it down a bit but even still in previous months my images have been muddy to say the least. This is really the first image where I've taken carving out information to the extreme of totally blowing out the horizon.
What do you all think of the image and the processing?
Fine art is that in which the hand, the head, and the heart of man go together.
